OCTOBER 26, 2008 - 70th ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION

St. John's is 70 years old! On Sunday October 26th (Reformation Sunday), St. John's held a Homecoming Worship Service to celebrate 70 years of ministry and to welcome past members back to Asheboro. The Rev. Jill King, a former member, gave the sermon. After the service, everyone enjoyed a delicious covered dish lunch in the Fellowship Hall. A slide show of several decades of photographs and a "Book of Marvelous Memories," a collection of reminiscences written by current and former members, helped connect the past with the present.
